Our approach

We collect the information needed to process purchases, deliver the correct files, provide support, and prevent fraud.

Information we collect

Stripe collects payment and checkout information, including your name, email, billing details, payment method information, purchase, and transaction identifiers. Bankruptcy Ease receives limited order information from Stripe, such as your email, purchased product, payment status, amount, and Checkout Session identifier. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Our hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, request timestamps, and security logs. Our delivery system records whether a download link was issued, its expiration, and the number of downloads remaining.

How we use information

We use information to process and verify orders, provide secure downloads, prevent misuse, respond to support and refund requests, maintain records, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

Service providers

Stripe processes checkout and payment data under its own privacy terms. Netlify hosts the website, server functions, private file storage, and delivery records. These providers process information to perform services for us and apply their own security and privacy practices.

Using the AI Companion

The downloadable AI Companion does not send case documents to Bankruptcy Ease. If you upload documents to Codex, ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI provider, that provider processes the files under its own terms, privacy controls, retention practices, and workspace settings. Do not upload sensitive case materials until you have reviewed and selected settings appropriate for your situation.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers as needed to operate the store, with professional advisers, when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Retention and security

We keep order and delivery records only as long as reasonably needed for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal obligations. No transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, but we use access controls, secret-managed credentials, signed webhooks, and expiring download links to reduce risk.

Your choices

You may contact us to ask about personal information connected with an order or to request an available privacy right. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or transaction purposes.

Children and changes

The website and products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change.
